History

Before we started Religion New Blog, Apologetics Index published the "Religion News Report." This was a newsletter posted to the AR-talk mailing list. The newsletters were then archived at this site. Publication in that format ceased at the end of February, 2002, but news items continued to be published to a Yahoo Groups mailing listoffsite

On July 18, 2002, the Religion News Blog came online.

Getting fresh religion news headlines on your website or blog is easy: just point and click

Need the full story?

For a while we provided a service which allowed researchers to request a copy of the full stories excerpted by us. Alas, we had to stop doing so, primarily because it took up way too much of our time and energy. We apologize for any inconvenience, but nowadays it is much easier to find such items online -- either free or in a paid archive -- at their original sources.

To find the full items:
• Check with the original source first.
• If a URL is provided, see if the story is available at the Internet Archive, or
• Use Google's Avanced Search to look for an exact phrase within the item.

Note: to stay on top of religion news join thousands of other religion professionals and other researchers and follow Religion News Blog. We always link to our sources.
