Articles listed here are about churches or religious movements generally recognized as cults of Christianity.

That is due either to their theology, their behavior, or both.

Twelve Tribes

Twelve Tribes is a communal religious movement that believes it emulates the early Christian church. Theologically this group is a cult of Christianity. Sociologically it has many cult-like elements as well.

Cult of Christianity

The term "cult of Christianity" is used of a group, church or organization whose central teachings and/or practices are claimed to be biblical or representative of biblical Christianity, but which are in fact unbiblical and not Christian in nature.

What are the things you should look for in determining whether or not a particular group is truly Christian in nature?

Christian Science

Christian science (The First Church of Christ, Scientist) is neither Christian nor scientific.

This religious movement's denial and/or re-interpretation of key Biblical doctrines mark it as, theologically, a cult of Christianity.

Nevertheless, in many U.S. states the Federal Government has granted Christian Science religious exemptions which, in the eyes of many, has led to needless suffering and preventable deaths as the church's followers apply its version of 'faith healing.'
