Americans Preserving Religious Liberty (APRL)

Americans Preserving Religious Liberty (APRL) was a Public Relations front group for the Church of Scientology.

The FBI found this information during the July 7, 1977 raids on Scientology offices following discovery of the church’s Operation Snow White

It appears the group no longer exists.

The Church of Scientology uses various front groups that usually address popular causes in what critics see as efforts to gain the church positive press coverage and a measure of respectability.

Some Scientology front groups are also considered to be recruitment efforts on behalf of the church.
