ROSHOLT -- Holocaust survivor Henry Golde spoke to Wisconsin Lions Camp counselors last year when the camp hosted a group of grieving children. Friday, he was back at the camp to address a different group, but this time, he stood outside the gates as a protester.

Golde, Appleton, and 15 other people were on hand to protest Pete Peters and his followers, who are renting the cabins this weekend. Peters and his group, Scriptures for America, allege that white Christians are God's chosen people, and refer to African-Americans as "foreigners" and Jews as "the anti-Christ."

Camp officials initially looked at the Christian group's references and thought they did good work, Pease said. It was only later on that they were told the group was anti-homosexual, anti-Jew and anti-African-American, she said.
