Police: Man 'sacrifices' son for a god

NEW DELHI, India, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Police in India suspect a self-styled "god man" of beheading his son in a gory occult ritual to appease the god and gain supernatural powers. Authorities have arrested 46-year-old Chandrasekharan, who was allegedly holding the head of his 20-year-old son Shanmuga Sundaram after chopping it off with a sword and chanting hymns while sitting in front of portraits of deities.
