Baptism for the DeadBook of MormonMormon Scriptures - General
Many people are unaware that over the years the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church) has made thousands of changes to its scriptures. LDS leaders have added and deleted words and tampered with previously published revelations by writing in new material and falsely attributing it to an earlier date. What follows are examples of some of the most significant revisions made to the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price. Within this article are links to scanned images of these historical documents from the 1830s.
Mormon TemplesGeneral / Miscellaenous by Steve Bright.Whenever an evangelical Christian and a Latter-day Saint engage in a doctrinal discussion they encounter the problem of terminology. LDS leaders use the standard vocabulary of Christianity but with radically different definitions. A Christian should never take for granted that his/her LDS friend understands common Christian terms in the biblical way. [...] The following list of Christian terms will be defined by LDS sources and then by biblical quotes. While this is not a complete list of terminology differences, it will cover the most basic ones. For a more detailed look at terminology differences, see The Counterfeit Gospel of Mormonism
