Qur'an, and Additional Topics

While the publishers of Apologetics Index operate from an orthodox, evangelical Christian point of view, the intent of this site is to provide research resources from a variety of perspectives.

Therefore, unlike many other websites that deal with the issues we address, many topics on this site include links to Christian, non-Christian and secular research resources, presented from neutral, pro, and contra viewpoints.

Note: A simple color-coding system is used to help you identify the general background of sites, articles and other listings.

• Quran
Non-Christian The Noble Qur'anoffsite Searchableoffsite. Includes three English-language translations of the Koran. Also: a transliterationoffsite, an Index to the Quranoffsite, and an Introduction to each Chapteroffsite
On this Web site, there are three translations of the Qur'an. Note that any translation of the Qur'an immediately ceases to be the literal word of Allah, and hence cannot be equated with the Qur'an in its original Arabic form. In fact, each of the translations on this site is actually an interpretation which has been translated. The first-time reader is strongly advised to read the introduction to the translations we have made available
Christian Quranic Browser Engine offsite This site contains an English translation by Abdullah Yusuf Ali, M. H. Shakir and Marmaduke Mohammad Pickthall, as well the ability to view the Arabic script.
Secular The Skeptic's Annotated Quranoffsite Provides a, well, skeptical, offbeat, and at times hilarious point of view. (They're equal-opportunity skeptics: the Bible and the Book of Mormon also are covered...).
