Dear Friends,
Greetings from Amsterdam, Netherlands (Holland’s official name).
This is the year-end newsletter of Apologetics Index.
In recent years it has become customary for us to prepare a year-end newsletter in which we share what has been happening with both our online and offline ministry. At the time of this writing there’s a snow storm outside. Inside our cozy home it’s warm. The coffee has made way for mugs of hot chocolate (made with real cocoa, of course), and Janet and I have spent a nice evening reminiscing.
Our conclusion: We are happy to report that 2005 has been a year of tremendous blessings. Just like last year, we have seen growth in every area of ministry. We’ve seen lives changed for the better – including those of people who have left cults and abusive churches, as well as people who never joined up in the first place because of information found in and via Apologetics Index. Personally we have in many ways experienced God’s rich blessings.
Sure, there were are few problems as well – including a deterioration in Janet’s health, negative decisions for some of the refugees we help, and ad-hominem attacks from an apparently unstable person.
Yet on a daily basis, we experience the truth of God’s Word, which says:
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
We are also thankful for the support we get from Christians and non-Christians alike. Janet and I appreciate your thoughts and prayers!
