Kowalski's article. The Emergent movement is seemingly not going to "go away," and, in fact, is getting more and more difficult to discern as growing and popular ministries appear to be adapting or adopting the Emergent beliefs. I am an Asst. Pastor of Spiritual Development in a non-denominational Pentecostal church plant - 4 years old and growing rapidly (38 years background with Assemblies of God,) and we have are constantly faced with evaluating study materials, books, etc. with regard to our Christian Education classes and Bible Studies. Of recent interest is the book, "Crazy Love," by Francis Chan. Although I don't sense a total Emergent slant, Chan highly endorses Emergent leader, Shane Claiborne, and he is also one of the speakersat the Exponential Conference who lists numerous Emergent leaders on their speakers agenda. Our younger generation (many highly educated, but lacking in solid doctrine), are strongly attracted to this "generous" orthodoxy, and the concept of re-inventing the church. Rev. Kowalski's stance (comming from the AG), is much needed, as even the Flagship of Pentecost (AG), is being swept into the Emergent current. I would like to somehow correspond with Rev.
