At the Casa de Dom Inacio, in Abaniana, Brazil, John of God receives guests and welcomes the needy of all faiths without prejudice or bias. Ordained a Reverend, Joao relies on the universal teachings common to the world's major religions as the law of behavior which produces health, peace and harmony. He is a simple man who adheres to a straightforward creed. He deeply believes that a life dedicated to love, faith, compassion, integrity, charity, gratitude and tolerance will create boundless good and will serve as a beacon to those who are sorrowful or suffering. Joao also reminds us that we habitually engage in many disease producing practices by leading lives of high stress, poor nutrition, compromised integrity; in addition to relying on drugs, sex or alcohol to camouflage anxiety and distress.

John of God is a medium in trance. He literally goes into an altered state of mind and "lends" his body over to 30 spiritual entities - these are beings who once inhabited this earth. They are the spirits of deceased doctors including such famous Brazilians as: Dr. Orvaldo Cruz, Dr. Fritz, Dr. Jose Valdivino, Dr. Augusto along with other surgeons, healers, psychologists and theologians who are working through John to help mankind. As John always says: "I am not the one who heals - it is God who heals." It is clear that those entities and John have joined forces to bring hope, health and love to all who encounter them.
