The term Gospel, (from Old English, gōd spell “good news”) generally refers to the message conveyed by the first four books of the Bible‘s New Testament: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

These books describe the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Their message — the Good News — is that anyone can make peace with God:

Sharing the Gospel is a practice called evangelism.
