Aura An Apologetics Index research resource |
Aura
New Age and Alternative Healing terminology. The energy field said to radiate from a living organism. Not visible to the naked eye, but some people claim to be able to sense it.
The energy field radiating from a living organism (both plants and animals), which some people can sense directly but which may also be viewed using a Kilner screen or demonstrated by Kirlian photography. The shape, colour and strenght of an aura varies with the individual, and is affected by sickness, health, and activity. An aura interacts with other auras in the vicinity, and a therapist may be able to detect ill health in specific organs from its appearance.
